Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the key drivers of the development of cultural diplomacy through championship sports using futures studies. The type of research is applied and in terms of analytical-exploratory nature. 22 experts were used to extract the variables and 15 experts were used for cross-analysis. To analyze the data, the combined panel methods of Mikomek cross-effects were used. Findings showed that the development of cultural diplomacy in championship sports is unstable. Also, the 5 key drivers had the greatest direct impact on the development of cultural diplomacy in championship sports. Cultural in sports, investing in sports and having a cultural attitude towards sports instead of a political attitude in managers. The country's sports directors are advised to use the key drivers for development of cultural diplomacy through championship sports.
