The spread of the COVID-19 virus, as well as the development of technology and the mechanization of lifestyle, have led to a decrease in physical activity among individuals and a decrease in the level of health among the community.One of the areas that increases the physical and mental health of the community is sports and leisure time.Therefore, the purpose of this study was to developing a model of leisure time and family sports in the COVID-19 era. The research method of this study was qualitative research using grounded theory and library-field data collection methods.Based on the opinions of experts, the appropriate tools and model were developed.The statistical population of this study was active leisure time experts, such as university faculty members, family counselors, experts in organizing family sports events at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, experts in the General Sports Federation. Targeted sampling was used. Sampling went on to theoretical saturation; In this study, the model reached theoretical saturation in the 19th interview, so that no new idea was obtained by continuing the interview. The research tool was semi-structured interviews. The content analysis of the interview texts was done through the process of analysis in the Strauss Corbin paradigm and through the hierarchy of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding.
