Studying the factors influencing the selection of female coaches of national teams with the Fuzzy DEMATEL approach

Abstract

This study was conducted to study the factors influencing the selection of female coaches of national teams with the Fuzzy DEMATEL approach. The statistical population of the study consisted of all officials, deputies, and officials of the federation and coaches who had the experience of executive and research activities in women's national teams. The research sample was selected with Non-probability sampling from the statistical population. First, by using library studies and reviewing the theoretical foundations and literature reveiw, the factors affecting the selection of female coaches of the national teams were identified.Factors whose content validity index was above 7.9 were used in the rest of the research. In order to analyze the research data, the Fuzzy DEMATEL method was used to rank the factors and determine the relationships between the factors. These are the most influential factors in case of selecting the female coaches of national team's in order: 1-Knowledge of international language, 2- Using statistics and information, 3- Creating a balance between life and work, 4- Having new knowledge of sports sciences, 5- Improving the coaching level by training courses, 6- Psychological and motivational ability. Based on the results of this study, there is a significant relationship between the factors of selecting the female coaches of national teams. This can be considered as an advantage for an organization that applies females in national teams.
