In the future clubs have an important role in the development of sports, both in the field of championship sports and in the field of recreational and educational sports. The overall purpose of this study was to Forecasting the development of weightlifting clubs in Iraq. The research was conducted with the aim of identifying and analyzing the drivers affecting the development of sports clubs and its method is mixed and futuristic. The results show that, by analyzing the existing trends qualitatively, and a quantitative analysis of obtained data respectively, the major trends affecting the development of clubs have been identified and quantitatively analyzed. In the qualitative section, all the drivers for the development of professional clubs were identified in 5 main areas (economic, socio-cultural, political, environmental and technological drivers) and 44 sub-areas. The strongest component of each domain, which had the highest averages; was identified respectively. In the social domain (shareholding culture), in the political field (level of convergence of sports and political managers), in the economic field (sustainable income generation), in the environmental field (attention to clean air) and in the field of technology (creating standard communication infrastructure). The issue of professional club development is more of an economic issue than anything else, and economic activities can be more effective in the development of weightlifting clubs than any other component.
