Abstract
The purpose of this study is to design and explain the model of sports development, based on strategic thinking and management impression management in East Azerbaijan province. The method of the present study is descriptive-analytical research that has been done by examining the current situation of the General Directorate of Sports and Youth of East Azerbaijan Province. The statistical population of this study includes managers and employees of the General Directorate of Sports and Youth of East Azerbaijan Province, heads of sports delegations of East Azerbaijan Province consisting of the chairman and vice chairman and secretary of the board, professors and faculty members of physical education schools, officials and physical education experts In total, their number is 580 people. Sampling was done in random strata according to the volume and 300 people were selected based on Morgan table by stratified method. 270 healthy and valid questionnaires were received to collect data from two standard questionnaires, Bolino and Turnelli imaging management strategies. (1999), Strategic Thinking Assessment Questionnaire (Lidka-1998) and a researcher-made questionnaire on sports development were used. Formal and content validity of the questionnaires was obtained by conducting a survey with 10 professors in the field of research and supervisor .. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for imagery management was 0.913, for strategic thinking was 0.916 and for sport development model was 0.943.. After reaching saturation, a deeper study of the theoretical foundations and previous research was done to combine them with the researcher's experiences and experts' opinions to design the model.
