Qualitative study of strategies and consequences for the development of Iran's sports economy

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to qualitatively study the strategies and consequences of the development of Iran's sports economy. The method of qualitative research was the data theory of the foundation. The statistical population of the present study is experts (professors, experts and experts in economics and sports management) in the field of sports economics. Purposeful sampling and snowball technique were used. The research tool was interview. Which consisted of 14 people. The validity of the research instrument (interview) was checked and confirmed by the interviewees and then the expert professors, and the inter-subject agreement method was used to measure the reliability, according to which the reliability value was equal to 0.90. Foundation data theory method was used to analyze the data. Based on the findings of semi-structured interviews, the strategies and consequences of the development of Iran's sports economy include the categories: management policies, education and research, culture, economic and socio-political. These 5 items include 10 concepts and 44 open source agents. Based on the findings of this study, it is suggested that for the development of sports economics, the categories extracted from this research be focused and strategic plans be formulated in a codified manner based on the opinions of elites and experts in this field.
