The mediating role of job satisfaction in relation between organizational justice and job commitment in sports federations staffs

Abstract

The general purpose of this study was to examine the mediating role of job satisfaction in relation between organizational justice and job commitment in sports federations staffs. A correlation experiment was conducted using a structural equation modeling study was conducted in a sample including 410 employees of sports federations. To collect data, Colquitt organizational justice, Caliskan & Baydar Satisfaction Scale for Athlete, and Allen & Meyer's job commitment questionnaires were used. Analyze of data, was done by correlation, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling in SPSS and LISREL softewares. The results showed that the organizational justice significantly explained, the changes in job commitment (42%), and job satisfaction (53%) of staff (p < 0.01) and Among the dimensions of justice, dimensions of distributive justice and procedural justice affect job satisfaction and job commitment (p < 0.01); But relational justice dimension does not have significant effect on job satisfaction and job commitment (p>0.05). In addition, justice and job satisfaction affect the emotional and normative dimensions of job commitment (p < 0.01). According to the results of study, the efforts of the Federations' heads to treat employees equally and to promote justice in the workplace can enhance employee job satisfaction and the development and improvement of justice, which leads to the improvement of job satisfaction, can benefit their federation from the positive individual, collective and organizational consequences of organizational justice and job commitment. Therefore, the organizational environment should be such that employees feel equal, fair and satisfied and the motivation to work in that environment increases in them.
