Relationship between transportation quality and psychological risks in athletic students

Abstract

Transportation development strategy for its management in before, during and after of sport competitions is necessary. Accordingly, this research was carried out, with the goal of investigating relationship between transportation quality and Psychosocial factors of participating collegiate students in the tenth sport Olympiad which took place in summer 2010 in universities of Mazandaran province. The research method in this study was field and correlation method. Also data collection tool was two-part questionnaire (made ​​researcher and foreign credible needs assessment) with 5 values Likert scale and α= 0/85. Statistical Society including 2960 male athletic collegiate student that had participate in tenth Students sport Olympiad, which 280 persons were choose using Morgan table for sample. Also for the research assumptions examine, were used Pearson correlation test and SPSS. The results showed that there are a significant relationship between transportation quality and positive memory creation about participating in the Olympiad (r= 0.5, p< 0.01) and there are a significant relationship between transportation quality and travelling time length (r= -0.17, p< 0.01). Relationship between transportation quality and creation of positive memory in athletic collegiate student and too relationship between travelling time length and students anxiety showed that universities and sporting events organizers must with better planning and revision in spending costs for sporting competitions dispatch, provide effective guidance’s for better organizing next sport events .
