Abstract
The purpose of this research was to adapt and model exercise for development in health promotion schools in Canada, England and Iran. The research method is multi-country adaptation and its strategy is internal adaptation Case-based comparative strategy was used in this study. In order to analyze the data, we used the historical comparative research method. Sports strategies were used to emulate the countries of Canada and England. The components of the research model in the findings were considered in three sections. The first section covers the adaptation of definitions, objectives, executive policies, approaches, and stakeholders. The second section compares key indicators, and the third section addresses sports strategies for health-promoting schools. The results showed that Iran, the United Kingdom, and Canada draw on their capacities for success (local culture and stakeholders), key indicators (such as having regional programs aligned with the national model and forming participatory groups), and comprehensive plans (such as a strategic health and well-being roadmap), and also implement WHO guidelines with consideration for localization policy. It is suggested that a comprehensive approach agreed upon by health-related organizations such as the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, etc., should be pursued for the successful implementation of the health-promoting schools program.
